BATTLE STATION CARRIER CLASS CRUISER CLASS DESTROYER CLASS FLAGSHIP CLASS FRIGATE CLASS STEALTH CLASS UNKNOWN | |
Armament: varies Covenant refit-battle stations are capable of
supporting a fleet of over 450 capital ships. They are capable of slip
space jumps, and can be over 10 kilometres in circumference. This type of
vessel has to have at least 2 fusion reactor cores for power. It even has
huge "rooms" that are built with foliage and animals to simulate
the Covenant's worlds to make the occupants feel more at home, rather than
on a huge station. These areas even have temples for religious sessions
for those who desire it. |

CARRIER CLASS
Armament: 13 Fighter Launch Bays, 34 Apparition Drop ships. Capital Plasma Turrets, Pulse Laser Turrets. The only class of ship that doesn’t use Plasma Torpedoes. Instead its strength derives from its unsurpassed amount of launch bays that are all around its centre section. Carrier Class ships use this to their full advantage, releasing Seraph fighters en masse for protection and swamping human vessels with masses of the fighters firepower. Carriers are mostly seen during planetary invasions, as they are loaded with Apparition Drop ships and Drop Pods they are the obvious choice for such engagements, its not uncommon for the entirety of the Covenant ground forces to have come from one Carrier, which isn’t surprising considering its massive size. |

CRUISER CLASS
Armament:7 Capital Plasma Turrets, Plasma Torpedoes (2500-4000 kW range) Covenant battle cruisers are long, vaguely manta-shaped spacecraft capable of launching dozens of fighters. They are typically armed with several dozen energy weapons. Covenant capital ships come in varying classes and sizes, though military observers note that there is a great deal of variance - weaponry, length, estimated tonnage, fighter compliments, speed, and maneuvering capabilities - within a particular class. The primary use of these ships is to transport ground forces, though they are quite capable of battle in space. Examples of Cruiser names are: Truth and
Reconciliation, Purity of Spirit, Unwavering Fortitude,
Chalice of Purity |

DESTROYER CLASS
Armament: Pulse Laser Turrets, Capital Plasma Turrets, Plasma Torpedoes (2500-4000 kW range) The Destroyer Class, next to the rare Flagship Class is the most powerful of all the Covenant space armada. From stem to stern it is absolutely covered in plasma weaponry. The sign of a Destroyer Class Covenant vessel often spells certain doom for any UNSC ship. Very few are reported due to the fact that ships engaging that don’t usually live to tell the tale. Destroyers we’re rarely seen until the Chirion 4 campaign and the space battles that followed such as Reach. With the exception of the Flagship Class, Destroyers are unsurpassed in the rate at which its plasma weaponry is charged and fired. They also have incredibly strong energy shielding, even for a Covenant spacecraft. Examples of Destroyer names are: Esteem and Reverence. |
|
Armament: 7 Capital Plasma Turrets, Plasma Beam (2500-4000 kW range) Covenant flagships are rarely seen. These
behemoths are covered by plasma turrets and are filled with many of the
Covenant's best troops. These ships also carry an unusual amount of
engineers, presumably to keep the ship running and battle-capable for far
longer than it could otherwise. These ships are the backbone of the
Covenant armada. They are the ships that carry the military command
personnel and give out orders during battle. Example of a Flagship names are: Ascendant Justice and Begotten Angel |

FRIGATE CLASS
Armament: Pulse Laser Turrets, Plasma Torpedoes (2500-4000 kW range) The most commonly encountered class of all the Covenant space fleet. Frigates are much smaller than most of the ships of the UNSC fleet. Very manta-like in appearance with one bulberous section and a “tail”. Due to their smaller size they take longer to charge their Plasma Torpedoes so must rely on their laser turrets during the start of a battle. Frigates should not be underestimated as they have been known to destroy UNSC vessels with little effort. Examples of Frigate names are: Contrition, Undying Reverence and Penance. |
STEALTH CLASS
Armament: None Little is known about this class of ship. It is capable of avoiding long range sensors and blending in with its surroundings making it almost completely undetectable. The Stealth ship is capable of emitting a EMC in order to jam missile systems as a defence mechanism. Out of all the Covenant vessels, this class is the weakest as it can take very little punishment before it is destroyed. |

UNKNOWN
Nothing is known about this ship. It appears to be Covenant in design but human made as it consists of materials used on human vessels. |
