INTRODUCTION

All the the UNSC's weaponry is manufactured by WST Manufacturing, from the older MA2B Rifles, to the newest M9 HE-DP fragmentation grenade. All weapons are issued with a lifetime guarantee of proper functionality as long as the weapon is intact. Most weapon's chassis and parts are manufactured with special alloys to resist damage and jamming. It should be noted that all of the UNSC's weapons are projectile based. Most weapons now do not use conventional "gunpowder" anymore, they instead use compressed gas. The M90 Shotgun, M19 SSM, and a few other weapons are more older and still use a very refined propellant instead of compressed gas.

PISTOLS

M6D PISTOL

This pistol is a recoil-operated, magazine-fed handgun. It is issued with a smart-linked scope capable of 2X magnification. It fires 12.7x40mm semi-armor-piercing, high explosive rounds. It can shoot either semi-automatic or automatic fire. This powerful weapon can utilize multiple types of ammo including armor-penetration rounds, and explosive-tipped rounds. There are several variants of the M6D including the M6S, which uses an extended barrel and 10.5x30mm AP rounds.

M6C PISTOL

Bigger than the standard UNSC HE pistol series. Larger and longer and have grips of self molding plastasteel. The handgun shoots high-caliber rounds and is self balanced. Far better than the standard issue sidearm. it is recoil operated and magazine fed. The differences  are it only has semi-automatic fire and doesn't have a scope, though its rounds are almost as powerful as that of the M6D.

RIFLES

MA5B ASSAULT RIFLE

This rifle is gas-operated and magazine-fed. It fires 7.62mm armor-piercing rounds. Rate of fire is limited by a soldier's ability to aim, fire and change magazines. Short, controlled bursts are more accurate than fully automatic fire. The MA5B's integrated computer displays rounds left in the magazine and the relative direction of a location, such as the gas giant, Threshold, for point of reference. This feature is particularly useful for orienting soldiers in areas where it's easy to get turned around and lose their sense of direction.

This weapon can utilize varying types of ammunition, including "shredder" rounds (for lightly-armored infantry), and armor-piercing HE rounds (for moderately, and heavily armored infantry). This weapons also includes a built-in flashlight for low-light situations. Slightly modified versions of the MA5B's barrel can be made to support a silencer for covert missions where both power, and discretion is required.

BR55 BATTLE RIFLE

The battle rifle is a modified assault rifle with an extended barrel and has it's ammo computer replaced by a small 2X smart-linked scope. It fires KAT 9.5x40mm ammunition and is extremely accurate at all ranges. It fires in three-round bursts by holding the trigger down, and can fire single shots by lightly pressing the trigger and releasing, and also while in zoom mode.

M7 CASELESS SUB MACHINE GUN SMG

The SMG fires Cal 5x23mm MF/case less ammunition. It's fire rate is very high, but accuracy is decreased significantly at long range. It is issued with an extendable stock so a Marine can wield two at once if necessary. An optional feature is an extendable silencer for the barrel, though accuracy is even further decreased when in use.

Note: When using two SMGs at once, recoil is more difficult to compensate, and it is easy to let your aim drift too high. Be careful that your aim doesn't drift into the path of a friendly.

EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY

M19 SSM ROCKET LAUNCHER

Commonly called the "Jackhammer, or "Spanker" (due to the SPNKr rockets it fires) by the Marines, the M19 SSM (Surface-to-Surface Missle) is a man-portable and shoulder-fired rocket launcher. It has two major components, the launcher and the magazine. The magazine (the expendable part of the system) contains two 102mm shaped-charge, high-explosive rockets. It is designed for fast, easy detachment from the launcher. The launcher contains the sighting and fire control systems. The launcher is issued with a small 2X smart-linked scope for sighting medium-range targets.

M9 HE-DP GRENADE

The M9 high-explosive, dual-purpose grenade is a thrown fragmentation device. Use it to suppress or disable vehicles, except tanks. It can be thrown, rolled, bounced or ricocheted into places direct fire weapons can't reach. Increase the angle of the throw to toss it farther, or to get it over obstacles. Be careful not to throw it too close to your own location.

SPECIALIST WEAPONS

M90 SHOTGUN

The shotgun is a pump-action magazine-fed (dual tubular non-detachable type) weapon. It fires 8 gauge magnum (3.5") rounds. This weapon is very effective against targets at close range and may be used to engage several targets simultaneously at medium and long range.

This weapons also includes a built-in flashlight in the pump grip for low-light situations.

SRS99C S2 AM SNIPER RIFLE

This rifle is a gas-operated magazine-fed weapon. It is issued with a smart-linked scope with two levels of magnification. It fires 14.5mm armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding-sabot rounds.

The S2 AM Sniper Rifle scope comes with a night vision feature which increases visual acuity in low-light, and even no-light situations for precision shooting.

Zoom Oracle - These smart-linked scopes are issued on the S2 AM Sniper Rifle. They are capable of 2X, 8X, and 10X zooming for precision shooting. Smaller, 2X versions of these scopes are available for the M6D HE Pistol, Battle Rifle, and M19 SSM Rocket launcher.

M7057 DEFOLIANT PROJECTOR

The M7057 Defoliant Projector is a standard chemical flamethrower which projects and ignites a stream of volatile, semi-liquid adhesive. Flamethrowers are cumbersome, difficult to aim, and effective only at short range. However, they are excellent suppression weapons, and against unshielded enemies or structure they are devastating.
